Sansevieria trifasciata 'Gold Flame' is also known as 'Golden Flame' and it's a type of snake plant, commonly known as mother-in-law's tongue. Trifasciata is a compact form of Sansevieria and this particular variety has highly variegated foliage. The thick, chunky leaves tend to arch outwards, almost in a 'tulip' shape when placed in a well-lit situation. Part of the Futura group of Sansevierias, the leaves are more open and shorter than most other trifasciata cultivars.

  • The inner leaves on this plant can often start off completely yellow, developing the green mottled inner colour as they mature.
  • Very easy to care for.
  • Requires higher light levels than Sansevieria that are mainly green.
  • Water sparingly and never allow the plant to sit in water.
  • Growing in a 17cm pot.
