Water sparingly during this dormant period, just enough to keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy. Once shoots begin to emerge in early spring, move the pot to a sunny location to encourage healthy growth and blooming. Continue watering regularly, especially during dry spells, but ensure the container drains well to prevent bulbs from rotting. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally—this helps the bulbs store energy for the next season. You can either lift and store the bulbs once the leaves yellow or leave them in the pot for future blooms.
