To care for your bulb lasagna, keep the container in a cool, sheltered spot through autumn and winter to allow the bulbs to establish roots. Water sparingly during this dormant period, just enough to keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy. Once shoots begin to emerge in early spring, move the pot to a sunny location to encourage healthy growth and blooming. Continue watering regularly, especially during dry spells, but ensure the container drains well to prevent bulbs from rotting. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally—this helps the bulbs store energy for the next season. You can either lift and store the bulbs once the leaves yellow or leave them in the pot for future blooms.

Before planting your bulb lasagna, start by choosing a large, deep container with good drainage holes, ideally at least 30-35cm inches deep. Place a layer of gravel or broken pots (crocks) at the bottom to improve drainage and prevent waterlogging We have chosen for you a variety of bulbs with staggered flowering times—early, mid, and late-season varieties—so you can layer them for continuous blooms. With everything in place, you're ready to begin layering the bulbs, starting with the deepest, latest bloomers at the bottom.
