These plants all thrive in sunny, sheltered spots with well-draining soil. Plant the bulbs in autumn at a depth of about three times their height, ensuring the pointed tip faces upward. Through winter, keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. In spring, once shoots appear, water regularly during dry spells and remove faded flowers promptly to encourage strong bulb growth for the next year. Allow foliage to die back naturally before trimming, as this replenishes the bulbs for future blooms. For best results, lift and store the bulbs in a cool, dry place after the leaves have fully yellowed, Replant them in fresh soil the following autumn.

Well-drained soil; Water regularly
Before planting, choose a sunny, sheltered location or a deep container with good drainage. These hyacinths prefer fertile, free-draining soil, so enrich garden beds with compost. Plant in autumn, ideally when the soil temperature has cooled to reduce the risk of fungal disease, and position bulbs with the pointed tip upward. If planting in the ground, loosen the soil to a depth of about 8 inches. For containers, add a drainage layer before filling with compost. Group bulbs closely for a striking display, leaving about 4–5 inches between each, ready to bloom in a spectacular spring show.
