Its lance shaped fronds overlap to create a nest. In its natural habitat organic matters collecting in the centre of the nest providing it with nutrients and moisture. In the tropical areas of south Asia where it can be found it is commonly found growing in the branches of other trees.
As the fronds (leaves) on these ferns are entire rather than divided, like most other ferns, they are particularly good at purifying the air around them.
