The spider plant is a clump forming evergreen with fibrous roots spreading like a carpet over the forest floor in their natural habitat. Their foliage consist of vibrant, solid green, or variegated leaves with yellow or white streaks on linear to lance shaped leaves, depending on the species. In the summer they produce arching stems of tiny white flowers.
In their natural habitat spider plants grow on the forest floor, and their Spider Plant babies would root wherever they touch the ground.
