Part of the aracacea family parlour palms are one of the slowest growing houseplants and can take decades to reach full height
In Victorian times the parlour was the room where you would receive visitors and having this beautiful palm was a sign you were well travelled and sophisticated!
Parlour palms prefer medium indirect sunlight, but will also tolerate low light levels
These plants do well in average temperatures of 18-23 degrees centigrade. Keep the leaves away from draughts and cold windows. To maintain healthy leaves high humidity is essential and if the air is too dry often leaf tips will turn brown.
Parlour palms like moist soil but cannot tolerate overwatering or waterlogged soil. The best way to water is to allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Underwatering is better than overwatering for this houseplant
Our plant heights are given as an approximate range of what you will receive as every plant will be slightly different.
