Ivy leaved Geraniums or to give them their proper name Pelargonium Peltatum are great for hanging baskets and patio pots. They need little care and can withstand drought conditions. Plant in a sunny spot for the best results.
If they become too over grown or unwealdy, just chop them back to re-invigorate.
The Calliope varieties are a hybrid between an ivy Geranium and an upright variety so are great used as ground cover.
Although technically perennial, Pelargoniums are only half hardy and therefore normally treated as annuals in the UK. However, with care, they may be overwintered in a frost free greenhouse.
3 good size plants each in a 9cm pot. No need to pot on and can be planted staright away.
