Rhipsalis baccifera horrida is also known as the mouse-tail cactus. It's not difficult to see why, as the stems of this trailing plant looks like tails!
Rhipsalis baccifera subsp horrida is a dark green, slender plant with noodle like foliage.
This is epiphytic in nature and would hang from tress in the wild.
The stems have reddish-brown, bristly spines.
Produces white flowers in season.
The plant can grow quite long and will trail or dangle.
Water regularly but never allow the plant to sit in water.
Use free-draining cactus compost.
Growing in a 17cm hanging pot, from which the hangers can be removed if necessary.
