This ornamental, flowering cherry tree, Prunus x yedoensis, is a graceful, wide spreading tree with almond scented blush white flowers which appear in late March and April. The spring blooms look cloud-like and appear in clusters. They are loved by bees.

  • Also known as the Yoshino cherry tree.
  • Produces white blossom, tinged with pink in March and April. The flowers are slightly scented.
  • Produces small fruits later in the year that are popular with birds.
  • The new foliage emerges a bronze colour and turns dark green as the season progresses.
  • Leaves turn orange and red in autumn.
  • This tree should grow to a height of up to 7m.
  • Chalk tolerant
  • Clay tolerant 
  • Currently growing in a 12l pot. Height is up to 1.5m.
  • This tree should be in its second growing season as all trees are grown for a full growing season before despatch in 12 (litre) pot.
  • Sizes and shapes vary but every care is taken to produce trees that are proportionate to the natural vigour and habit of the individual tree.
  • Where appropriate they are summer pruned to encourage branching and flowering /fruiting.
