Passion flower climbers, or Passiflora, are the ornamental version of the passion fruit vine. These delightful plants produce exotic flowers which are typically purple, white, or shades of pink. There are several different varieties of this evergreen climbing plant which uses tendrils to self-cling to other plants, trellises or structures. The passion flower likes a sunny, sheltered spot and often produces fruit after the flowers. These are edible but aren't as large or desirable as the passion fruit climber which has been bred for its fruit rather than flowers.
