pachira aquatica

Pachira aquatica is a rather wonderful house plant and this particular specimen has had its stems skilfully braided. It therefore makes a great architectural statement.

  • Very easy to care for.
  • Pachira love water and therefore it is almost impossible to over-water (one of the main problems with house plant care).
  • Don't allow it to stand in water for too long, however.
  • Grows as large or small as you choose.
  • Also known as the money tree; Guiana chestnut or the saba nut.
  • This is a tropical tree that inhabits wetlands and swamps in the wild.
  • Likes indirect light. Keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Fertilise up to four times per year, during the growing season.
The plants are approximately 45-50cm tall and come in a 12/13cm pot.
