Monstera Monkey Leaf

Monstera Obliqua, also known as Philodendron Monkey Mask, is a close relative of the Swiss cheese plant. The leaves of this unusual plant are often likened to a monkey, hence the common name. The foliage of this plant is much smaller than the easily-recognisable average Swiss cheese plant.  Monstera obliqua is another form that has far more holes in the leaves.

  • Likes moist, warm conditions.
  • The plant comes from the South American rainforest.
  • It has prominent holes and grooves in the evergreen leaves.

  • Water regularly and mist the leaves with water.
  • Do not allow the plant to stand in water.
