Kalanchoe thyrsiflora 'Red Lips' isn't something that you see very often. This succulent house plant loves to occupy a sunny position and the colour of the foliage is enhanced in higher light levels.
The grey-green leaves grow to about 15cm in length and will become tinged in red when exposed to sun.
Mature plants may produce a spike of fragrant, yellow flowers in spring.
Water regularly when the compost feels dry.
Never allow the compost to remain soggy, however, as this can lead to root rot.
Native to South Africa.
Protect from frost.
This is a starter, young plant, growing in a 5.5cm pot.
