Hoya wayetii is a type of wax flower that is considered easy to grow. It is also known as the Hindu rope plant.
At its best if allowed to hang as a trailing plant.
It should produce dark pink flowers which have a light fragrance.
The scent is likened to butterscotch.
The flowers are maroon with darker flowers in the centre
The foliage is narrow and pointed with brown edges.
Water regularly, but do not allow to stand in water.
Hoya plants were originally named after Thomas Hoy who was gardener to the Duke of Northumberland. He was the first to raise the popularity of this lovely house plant.
