Ginkgo biloba 'Blagon' maidenhhair tree

  • A columnar and upright form of the maidenhair tree. This ancient tree species descends from a deciduous conifer which was alive some 270 million years ago.
  • It has highly appealing, deciduous foliage. The leaves are a fresh green colour in the spring, turning to a golden yellow in the autumn.
  • Very narrow, erect form that was initially discovered in France.
  • Slow growing.
  • Should reach an ultimate height of up to 12m, with a spread of only up to 3m.
  • Low maintenance plant that is ideal in a small garden because it doesn't spread very far.
  • This tree is the male form so does not produce fruit.

All trees are grown for a full growing season before despatch in 7 (litre) pot. Sizes and shapes vary but every care is taken to produce trees that are proportionate to the natural vigour and habit of the individual tree. Where appropriate they are summer pruned to encourage branching and flowering /fruiting. In the majority of varieties, minimum height is 1.5m.

Please allow up to five days for delivery. Pictures in this listing are library pictures that reflect the trees' main qualities and are for reference only
