Colocasia esculenta 'Kona Coffee' (Taro) is a tuberous, frost-tender perennial with long-stalked, glossy, heart-shaped, slightly cupped, dark chocolate leaves. Unlike the leaves of Alocasia which point skyward, the leaves of Colocasia droop and point toward the ground Architectural and stylish. Needs a greenhouse in the winter.
Can reach 100cm in height
Sold in a 18cm water basket so can be sunk straight into your pond or water feature. Can be potted into an ordinary pot, but likes to be kept moist.
