beaucarnea ball 14

Beaucarnea recurvata is also known as the Nolina Maya Palm tree. This particular form is highly unusual, with a goblet-shaped swollen stem. This house plant is very good at filtering impurities out of the air. It has a bulbous stem and it is often mistaken for a palm because of its distinctive trunk and foliage.

  • This is actually a semi-succulent plant that stores water in its stem.
  • Often called the Pony Tail palm because of its downward-spreading foliage.
  • A drought-tolerant plant.
  • It enjoys warm, bright rooms. Water every 7 to 14 days in growing season, but cut this back in winter. Do not let it get too wet.
  • When in doubt, keep this plant quite dry.
  • Sold in a 14cm pot, total height is approximately 40cm.
  • Spread is also around 40cm.
  • Please bear in mind that every plant is different and yours won't be exactly the same as in the photo.
