Details

Hoya sulawesi house plant is a delightful hanging plant that can develop a trail of up to 100cm. This is one of the first Hoyas to commence flowering each season. In the wild it clambers through the trees but adapts will to indoor use as a hanging plant. It's a free-flowering evergreen plant with flowers that have a delightful scent that could be compared to honey and vanilla.

Hoya is also known as a wax flower or wax plant. It has waxy, mid-green, slightly fleshy leaves. It is sometimes called the 'Hindu rope plant'.

      • Hoya sulawesi has sweeetly scented, flesh coloured flowers which resemble wax. Each flower looks like a star, and the cluster of flowers is arranged into a star shape. The fragrance is enchanting.
      • Can be trained to climb, or allowed to hang as a trailing plant.
      • Very easy to care for.
      • Water regularly, but do not allow to stand in water.
      • Hoya plants were originally named after Thomas Hoy who was gardener to the Duke of Northumberland. He was the first to raise the popularity of this lovely house plant.
      • Growing in a 14cm hanging pot.
